Zombies!

World War Z

My husband is a super zombie fanatic!  Now, his general reading materials are comic books.  So, anytime he recommends a book I get stoked.  With good reason, this book was awesome!!!

I am not going to bore you with my retelling of the story.  I am not a story writer and never will be.  On top of the fact that it wouldn't do this book any justice.  Take my word for it.  You will feel like you took part in the Zombie Apocolypse.  The stories you hear are riveting.  It just feels like it realy happened.

Are you ready for a zombie outbreak? I am.

Now for my zombie rendition!

Thanks,

36-42 of 365 Owls

Day 36-  Glittered felt and puffy paint.  Make for acute little pouch.  Owl #36 can hold some small little knick knacks or all my cork stamps.

Day 37-  Hubby always provides great ideas.  He came up with the thought of Owl #37, a stamped owl.

Day 38-  I don't have a nice affinity with colored pencils.  This project is making me change my mind.  I find myself using them often in my owls.  Procuring Owl #38.

Day 39-  Here I go with the shrink paper again.  Not sure but I think owl #39 might be used as a bookplate.

Day 40-  I made this embroidered felt piece over a year ago.  However I never found somewhere to showcase it.  I had been reading about book binding lately, Voila! Owl #40 is a brand new owl journal.

Day 41-  Tons of scraps laying on my desk.  Owl #41 is scraptastic.

Day 42-  Crackle, paint, shadow box, and a list with reason why I make a great owl.  Owl #42 is one of my favorites.

Had tons of fun this week.  Next week is another themed week.  So egg-cited! haha!

29-35 of 365 Owls

I recently aquirred ton of scrapbook supplies.  Love getting new things or new to me things.  So, most of the owls for this week were made from the supplies I got.

Day 29-  O.k. So, this was a kit I bought last week.  However, I couldn't resist. Owl #29 is just the cutest pocket mirror I have seen.

Day 30-  I don't really make ATC's (Artist Trading Cards).   Making Owl #30 was super fun though. I think I will be making more in the future.

Day 31-  One month down, 11 more to go.  Owl #31 is just a note to say HI!

Day 32-  Just a little gift tag.  Owl #32 will go great wit blue  or green wrapping paper.

Day 33-  Found some cool matchbook notepads.  Thought why spend 3 or 4 dollars to buy just one?  When I can make about 9 for the same price.  Owl #33 is a matchbook notepad.  With tear away pages.

Day 34-  The hubby was yet again my inspiration.  Drew an owl on gimp.  Then copied and pasted it several times to make this super fierce face.  Owl #34 is an owl collage of sorts.

Day 35-  Who doesn't love shrink paper?  Made this tiny little owl from some shrink paper I had lying around the house.  However, once I made the fella I had no idea what do do with him.  Hubby's idea... Make Owl #35 a key chain.  There you have it.

Martedì Italiana - Italian Tuesday #1

It has come to my attention that learning italian has been taking a backseat to my many projects.  Not anymore!  In light of this situation I am incorporating Italian Tuesday! Yea!  What will this day entail you ask?  Everything! From Italian pictures, news, words and phrases, recipes and more.  Don't worry I will post translations.  Let's hope this works.

So here is the start of Italian Tuesday!

A quote to get us started... and hopefully keep me on my path to learning Italian.

Volere è potere - Where there's a will, there's a way.

Also being that spring just started.  La Primavera - Spring.

Bookmark (segnalibro) that I made this weekend.  It says, "from the library of Alexandra."

Questo è tutto per oggi - That is all for today.

22-28 of 365 Owls

THEMED WEEK!!!

This week was a themed week for the Owls.  Care to take a guess at the theme?  Color Palooza!  I can't even begin to explain how excited I was for this week.

Alright, here is the deal, each day I created one owl using one color with varying shades.  My husband helped me pick each color for the days owl.  Here they go...

Day 22-  RED is the color for Owl #22.  Complete with rhinestone eyes.

Day 23-  She's so girly.  Got to love our GREEN gal Owl #23.

Day 24-  ORANGE you glad for Owl #24. Ha ha ha!

Day 25-  Mellow YELLOW, I think not!  Owl #25 is anything but mellow with all that sparkle.

Day 26-  Owl #26 is pretty in PINK.  Don't you just love her lace wings?

Day 27-  Why is Owl #27 so BLUE?  It spawns from me not really liking the color, forgive me.

Day 28-  PURPLE!!! I just love purple! Making Owl #28 my favorite.

I had some serious fun creating these this past week. I hope that you enjoyed looking at them!
