Nothing New as of Late.
So, I haven't made anything new lately, forgive me. The holiday season took me by storm. Shopping and planning for a christmas and birthday party. Rest assured new projects will soon be underway. Got an early christmas present from the hubby and I am sure to be inspired. Merry Christmas everyone!

Bathroom Curtain
So, yesterday I got the bright idea to make curtains for my house. Without bothering to get measurements or anything. hahaha. Not so bright. I ended up only making one curtain for my living room. So, I find myself having to go to the fabric store for more fabric. It's such a nice print too. very Japanese, deep red, with carp swimming around.
On a good note though! I did buy enough for my bathroom curtains!!! yea! I am very proud of how that one came out! The main color cream with accents of a new fabric I found. I am in love with this fabric. Going to have to stock up
Shoes for my little guy!
OK. So, I haven't been posting anything new lately as promised. I am sorry. But I do have something new to post. I made my son some shoes. Hahaha! OK so they look more like badly made elf shoes. But it took me three tries to even get shoes on him that fit. Please bear with me. They are the best I could do.
On a funny note he fell asleep in his highchair while waiting for me to finish them. What a great sport!

Christmas Stockings!
Want to make it? Awesome, here are the details.
Grab any old stocking, tons of floss, and your transfer pens.
Draw out the name and lights. Then start embroidering. Name is done with a chain stitch. Lights rope is a fabulous stem stitch. Last, the lights are done with a satin stitch, outlined with a back stitch. Just that easy.
With about 1 hour a day and two days total. I finished this one stocking. Now two more stockings to go. Post the finished product once they are all finished.
Happy Embroidering!

turtle pillow for my son!
O.K. So, I have been working on making a pillow for my son. He loves sea turtles. I found this great printed fabric. Now I am embroidering it just for a more personal touch. In case you want to make your own and can't see the stitches here is how I did it. Outline of the shell is done with a chain stitch, inside with a back stitch, eyes are french knots. The waves I hand drew and are stitched with a stem stitch. I will post a picture of the actual finished pillow once it's done.
